10 Things I Learned in 2020

It’s hard to describe 2020. So much happened that took us out of our comfort zones and into the unknown. As a society, we were forced to slow down, take a hard look at the injustices that are impacting our country, and feel the heaviness of the changes that need to be made…all during the middle of a worldwide pandemic. So many goodbyes were said without knowing when we’d see one another face-to-face again and many people were alone. It was also a year of self-growth, a time for us to use our isolation to look inward and make changes…I know I had to take stock of my values, where I was spending my energy, and what I needed to start prioritizing. Looking back, it was a year of courage, bravery, and growth. And I wanted to share what I learned throughout it all.

Let me know if any of this resonates with you and share the lessons you learned!

Here are 10 things I learned in 2020:

3. Traveling is so incredible and I appreciate it even more.

4. Don’t wait for a reason to wear a great outfit…make one!

5. Saying goodbye to one opportunity means making space for something new.

6. Nobody will notice if I only style the front half of my hair!

7. Working from home is an adjustment, y’all!

8. Glam on top and comfy on the bottom is absolutely an acceptable Zoom vibe.

9. Setting boundaries with my time and energy is essential in our new work environment.

10. Having a grateful heart makes everything easier!
