5 Things I Miss About NYC

California is beautiful and the weather is perfect every day and the beach is amazing...but y’all, every time I take a trip back to New York City it’s so incredible. The vibrancy and energy of the city is so motivating and I soak up every minute of it! Not to mention I get to see some much-missed friends and visit some of my favorite places. I figured now is as good a time as any to share with you what I’m missing and what I love about NYC. If you live there now, used to live there, or have ever felt the pull to visit, you know what I mean when I say there’s nothing quite like New York City!

Shopping Retail in the Flatiron District

It’s so refreshing to go for a walk and just pop into the stores to see what was happening in the world of fashion. From window shopping to trying on the newest styles, I get so much inspiration when I’m surrounded by the ingenuity and creativity of fashion. And it was super close to my house, which made it that much easier to explore.

Buvette

The ambiance, the people...but can we talk about the food? So delicious! Everything, from the cheese and bread to the cocktails and desserts, is prepared to perfection and oh-so-mouthwatering. I could eat there every day! Follow Buvette here!

The Subway

I miss the interactions with people, the people-watching, and the pace in the morning. There was nothing like starting the day with that energy: everyone hustling, off to work, feeling like they were going to change the world.

The Theater

Being able to see a fabulous show any night of the week is something I will always love about New York. How lucky am I that I lived in a city with such culture and entertainment, right outside our doorstep? I know we were all missing this due to Covid, so I know I’m in good company on this one!

The Bowery Lobby

It’s my favorite bar. Located in The Bowery Hotel, the setting is so intimate and just oozing with ambiance from another era. If I were there right now, I would order a Vodka Gimlet. Have you been? Let me know and share your favorite spots in NYC!
